Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at BCTC is largely skewed towards women students, with 59.7% of undergraduate students being women and 40.3% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 9,750, with 5,821 women and 3,929 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 70.3% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 6,842 students.

Following behind are African American students, constituting 12.7% of the student body, with 1,237 students. Hispanic students represent 8.9% of the population, with 869 students, while Mixed race students account for 4.2%, with 408 students. Asian students account for 2.1% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 206 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.2% , with 17 students.

International students make up 0.1% of the undergraduate population, totaling 11 students.

There is also a notable percentage of students with an unknown race, making up 1.5% of the population, totaling 145 students.
