Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at COTC is greatly skewed towards women students, with 70.4% of undergraduate students being women and 29.6% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 2,636, with 1,857 women and 779 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 70.2% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 1,846 students.

Following behind are African American students, constituting 10.1% of the student body, with 265 students. Mixed race students represent 6.8% of the population, with 179 students, while Asian students account for 3.2%, with 84 students. Hispanic students account for 2.5% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 67 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.0% , with 1 students.

International students make up 0.2% of the undergraduate population, totaling 5 students.
