Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at CityU is largely skewed towards women students, with 58.8% of undergraduate students being women and 41.2% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 1,145, with 673 women and 472 men.
On the other hand, the graduate student population at CityU is largely skewed towards women students, with 63.3% of undergraduate students being women and 36.7% being men. The total number of full-time, graduate students is 851, with 539 women and 312 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 26.6% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 303 students.
Following closely behind are Hispanic students, constituting 10.0% of the student body, with 114 students. Asian students represent 7.3% of the population, with 83 students, while African American students account for 7.0%, with 80 students. Mixed race students account for 2.8% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 32 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.9% , with 10 students.
