Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at DCCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 62.6% of undergraduate students being women and 37.4% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 8,706, with 5,454 women and 3,252 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 48.5% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 4,209 students.

Following closely behind are African American students, constituting 29.6% of the student body, with 2,566 students. Hispanic students represent 7.7% of the population, with 671 students, while Asian students account for 5.7%, with 492 students. Mixed race students account for 3.9% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 339 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.2% , with 16 students.

International students make up 0.7% of the undergraduate population, totaling 63 students.

There is also a notable percentage of students with an unknown race, making up 3.8% of the population, totaling 326 students.
