Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at ECCD is slightly skewed towards women students, with 54.0% of undergraduate students being women and 46.0% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 19,675, with 10,620 women and 9,055 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is Hispanic, comprising 46.6% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 9,151 students.

Following behind are African American students, constituting 13.3% of the student body, with 2,617 students. Asian students represent 11.6% of the population, with 2,281 students, while White students account for 11.6%, with 2,271 students. Mixed race students account for 3.6% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 713 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.4% , with 70 students.

International students make up 1.6% of the undergraduate population, totaling 314 students.
