Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at GRCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 57.7% of undergraduate students being women and 42.3% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 12,642, with 7,295 women and 5,347 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 61.7% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 7,767 students.

Following behind are Hispanic students, constituting 14.8% of the student body, with 1,861 students. African American students represent 9.7% of the population, with 1,224 students, while Asian students account for 3.8%, with 482 students. Mixed race students account for 3.0% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 380 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.1% , with 11 students.

There is also a notable percentage of students with an unknown race, making up 6.8% of the population, totaling 856 students.
