Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at IVCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 58.8% of undergraduate students being women and 41.2% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 2,470, with 1,452 women and 1,018 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 72.1% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 1,779 students.

Following behind are Hispanic students, constituting 16.7% of the student body, with 411 students. African American students represent 2.1% of the population, with 52 students, while Mixed race students account for 2.0%, with 50 students. Asian students account for 1.1% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 28 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.2% , with 6 students.

There is also a notable percentage of students with an unknown race, making up 5.7% of the population, totaling 140 students.
