Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at JCCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 55.2% of undergraduate students being women and 44.8% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 16,643, with 9,179 women and 7,464 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 64.9% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 10,729 students.

Following behind are Hispanic students, constituting 11.3% of the student body, with 1,864 students. African American students represent 6.1% of the population, with 1,001 students, while Mixed race students account for 5.2%, with 863 students. Asian students account for 4.2% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 689 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.8% , with 133 students.

International students make up 2.6% of the undergraduate population, totaling 434 students.
