Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at NTCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 62.7% of undergraduate students being women and 37.3% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 2,823, with 1,771 women and 1,052 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 49.4% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 1,383 students.

Following closely behind are Hispanic students, constituting 34.5% of the student body, with 967 students. African American students represent 10.3% of the population, with 288 students, while Mixed race students account for 2.0%, with 57 students. Asian students account for 1.0% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 29 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.0% , with 1 students.

International students make up 2.5% of the undergraduate population, totaling 69 students.
