Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at PVCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 58.5% of undergraduate students being women and 41.5% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 4,997, with 2,924 women and 2,073 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 63.4% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 3,161 students.

Following behind are African American students, constituting 12.0% of the student body, with 598 students. Hispanic students represent 9.0% of the population, with 448 students, while Mixed race students account for 5.2%, with 258 students. Asian students account for 4.2% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 211 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.1% , with 4 students.

International students make up 0.8% of the undergraduate population, totaling 41 students.

There is also a notable percentage of students with an unknown race, making up 5.3% of the population, totaling 265 students.
