Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at SJCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 59.7% of undergraduate students being women and 40.3% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 7,326, with 4,372 women and 2,954 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is Hispanic, comprising 47.7% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 3,492 students.
