Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at SBCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 57.0% of undergraduate students being women and 43.0% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 12,746, with 7,270 women and 5,476 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 38.8% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 4,932 students.

Following closely behind are Hispanic students, constituting 35.5% of the student body, with 4,515 students. Mixed race students represent 5.4% of the population, with 688 students, while Asian students account for 4.7%, with 592 students. African American students account for 2.3% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 296 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.2% , with 25 students.
