Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at SCTCC is largely skewed towards women students, with 60.7% of undergraduate students being women and 39.3% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 3,638, with 2,208 women and 1,430 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 71.1% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 2,575 students.

Following behind are African American students, constituting 16.1% of the student body, with 582 students. Hispanic students represent 5.2% of the population, with 189 students, while Mixed race students account for 3.4%, with 125 students. Asian students account for 1.8% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 64 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.2% , with 6 students.

International students make up 0.6% of the undergraduate population, totaling 20 students.

There is also a notable percentage of students with an unknown race, making up 1.7% of the population, totaling 63 students.
