Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at STAC is almost evenly split between men and women, with 50.3% of undergraduate students being men and 49.7% being women. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 1,848, with 919 women and 929 men.

On the other hand, the graduate student population at STAC is greatly skewed towards women students, with 66.9% of undergraduate students being women and 33.1% being men. The total number of full-time, graduate students is 178, with 119 women and 59 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is White, comprising 55.6% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 1,026 students.

Following behind are Hispanic students, constituting 17.7% of the student body, with 327 students. African American students represent 10.9% of the population, with 201 students, while Asian students account for 5.1%, with 94 students. Mixed race students account for 2.8% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 51 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.3% , with 5 students.

International students make up 4.2% of the undergraduate population, totaling 78 students.

There is also a notable percentage of students with an unknown race, making up 3.4% of the population, totaling 62 students.
