Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at UNLV is largely skewed towards women students, with 56.9% of undergraduate students being women and 43.1% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 25,312, with 14,414 women and 10,898 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is Hispanic, comprising 33.5% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 8,447 students.
Following closely behind are White students, constituting 26.4% of the student body, with 6,671 students. Asian students represent 16.3% of the population, with 4,127 students, while Mixed race students account for 11.7%, with 2,952 students. African American students account for 8.9% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 2,238 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.9% , with 224 students.
International students make up 1.8% of the undergraduate population, totaling 459 students.
